Upgrades on Bux.To

The Upgrades I am referring to (in the title), are not exactly upgrades to Bux.to: but rather upgrades to MY account on Bux.to. With yesterday being the first of the month, I receive my military disability pay (not much...that is why I still have to work). So I completed my desire to upgrade my account to a premium member status. The cost of this is $59 for one year. The two main benefits of this program; and the reason I decided to go with it: is because you get more ads to read; and you get paid more per ad. As a basic member, I was getting only about 3-10 ads per day (closer to 3 ads the past week or so). But now you are guaranteed at least 20 ads.

The other benefit is that you get paid more. Basic members get paid 1 cent per ad; where as premium members get paid 1 1/4 cents per ad. Now that might not sound like a big difference...but I don't really make my money from the ads that I read. I make the money from the ads that my referrals read. And that leads to the other upgrade that I purchased. I bought an additional 100 referrals: with my total now being 235 referrals. So I get 1 1/4 cents for each ad that I read, as well as for each that my referrals read. If the referrals read an average of 5 ads a day; 7 days a week: then I could earn around $440 extra per month - and that doesn't include what I am reading.

Of course these numbers assume that everyone would be reading the ads. In real life, that is not true. But still, it can be pretty good anyways. And this is not going to be a full time income...but it can be enough to go out to the movies more, or out to eat...or even both, a little more than I do already. So I guess the whole point is that I am happy that the folks at Bux.to were so speedy in getting my upgrades processed (within one business day).

Oh, and the ads that I got today: I had about 30 ads to read. The only problem, is that a few of the ads, for some reason, just didn't work. Either they were expired ads; or the ads link was bad. But still, only about 4 of the ads fell into these categories; which means that I was paid for 26 ads: above the promised 20 ad guarantee. I will monitor this, and see if I will still get this high level of ads.

And I will also be requesting another payout. My last payout on 10/22/07 was for 51.76; and I can request another payout in the amount of $22.22. Actually, Bux.to allows you to request a payout anytime your account reaches $10. And with my two purchases of 100 referrals each: I received a cash back incentive of $5.00 each time - for a total of $10.00 My total earned (including all incentives) has been $73.98; and the total that I have spent has been $289.95. I expect to recoup my current expenses by the end of this year...if all goes well. And I also plan on making additional purchases for referrals. I have seen (through the bux.to forum) some people saying that they had thousands of referrals. Perhaps I will get to that point to...but I will start out slowly for right now, and we will see where this goes.

It was bound to happen...ClickzVault.com A Scam

Well, I knew that it happens, and I figured that it would happen to me: and so it has. I feel that I have been scammed...or at very best: lied to. As I have mentioned in the past, I have been looking at these Paid To Click (PPC); Paid To View (PPV) and Paid To Read Sites (PPR) for the last couple of months now. And I have always been wary about companies that might promised the world; and yet give you nothing in return.

Well, I am not sure that this is "exactly" what has happened: but I still feel somewhat jaded about my experience with a particular site. That site: ClikzVault.com. But before I bash the site, and the "company" behind it: let me give you a little of my history with them first. Well, I had signed up with the site sometime last month (October). I am not sure exactly when I signed up; because I was not keeping those records at that time (I am now, though). Everything seemed to be going okay. I would try to get on the site when I could, but usually several times a week.

I hadn't been on the site for very long, and I had earned a whopping $0.43 for 43 "clicks". That is not bad: as it is one cent per click; and there are sites that pay way less than that (but I digress). So according to my records, the last time that I had updated my records (the last time I had clicked on any of their links) was October 17, 2007 (my Bro's B-Day). When I had come back to use their system four days later on the 21st, I could not gain access to the site. Every time I tried to log in, the system just brough me back to the same log in screen.

Thankfully, I was able to navigate to the main page, where I found a link to their forums. So I started a thread under their complaint section, and this is how it went:

I have tried several times (about 5) to log into my ClickzVault account using my correct UID & Password; but each attempt leads me back to the log in screen. I did not receive any message saying that I was locked out of the account either.

Can you please let me know why it is doing this? I have not had problems with this before.

Thanks,

John

There was not a suspended message that I could see. The page just returned to the login screen. I tried it again today (at about 9pm CST), and was still getting the same thing.

YOU ARE WRONG!! I never cheat...and I don't need to. There are plenty of sites to keep me busy in the 24 hours a day that I have been given. You had better check your facts before accusing someone of cheating. I have never signed up for more than one account with this site. And as soon as I had a problem with this site, I notified you folks. Your system probably had a hick-up or something.

I ask that you reinstate me because I did nothing wrong. If not, I will just tell the world. I can surely understand the postion on cheating...as I have my own site that I have to contend with. But you have to understand that sometimes things are not as they seem...and sometimes even the best systems mess up.

Please look into this further, and let me know via e-mail of your findings.

That was the last communiction between the Admin of the site and myself. I checked back yesterday (11/1), but there had not been any reply. And as of this morning, the site is no longer available. When I tried to go to the site (by link and by manually entering the addy); I was forwarded to a different page (http://epremiumhosting.com/suspended.page/) saying the following:
This Account Has Been Suspended

Please contact the billing/support department as soon as possible.

So that is where it all stands. I was blamed for something that I didn't do, and when I threatened to "tell the world": now I cannot even access the site. Now perhaps I am wrong, and maybe I am taking this too far...but what else can I believe when after almost two weeks: I have been left out in the cold...without getting resolution to this whole situation.

A Long Wait Time For Payment From Bux.to

Bux.to

I have been a member of Bux.to for a few months, and I earned enough to request a payment sent to me probably about a month or so ago. However, I did not request such a payment until I had earned over $50 ($51.76 to be precise). That was on Monday, October 22, 2007. At that time, I was under the impression that I should receive my payment within a few days...or so I was hoping. However, Bux.to had changed their payment policy, and according to their FAQ's, I now have to wait 30 BUSINESS DAYS, before I will get my money in my PayPal account. If I have calculated this correctly, this will put the payment date by Monday, December 3, 2007.

I do understand that bux.to needs to verify that I have actually earned this money; and they probably want to make sure that they have been paid by their advertisers: but in this day and age; with all the technology that there is - I would think that this should be able to be taken care of much sooner. But perhaps this is just a nature of the PPC industry. I do have a long standing account with another PTR company that has a simularly long wait period from request to payment.

I guess my biggest concern is just that I am hoping that this company is for real, and that I am not going to be ripped off. I have invested about $135 so far for referrals...and a lot of time in reading the 30 second ads (I have read 286 of them so far). And I am also planning on making an purchase to upgrade my account to a pro membership (another $59); as well as to purchase even more referrals (another $98)....all before I get my first payment. I may have sunk about $300 into their system, before I even have any money back from them.

So I will sit here, biting my nails and biding my time as I wait and hope for money from this company. I have put my faith (somewhat skeptically) into this system...and I hope that they will in turn, convert me into a true believer.
